12. Email Notification
Automatically send an email to a person who is in charge, when a bug or feature is reported or it's status is changed.
To enable this feature, select tool/options command from menu.
- Check Use email notification to enable email notification.
- Input your SMTP server in SMTP Server edit box.
- If your SMTP server needs authentication, you have to check Server requires authentication and input User name and password.
When email is sent and who will get the email?
Add a new record
- An email is sent to all persons who is responsible for, or to all persons in the database if no auto task assignment is assigned.
Status is changed
- Status is changed to resolved, send email to the person who reports it;
- Status is changed to verified, send email to the person who resolves it;
- Otherwise, send to the person who is responsible for it, or send to all users if no user is assigned to this record.
