Assign Right to User

To Assign Right to a User

  1. Select a project you want to assign for.

  2. Select nodes in the tree control to assign rights for the project.

Bug tracker classifies rights into four categories.

  1. General
    • Add Bug - the right of reporting a bug to the database.
    • Delete Bug - the right of deleting a bug.
    • Read Bug - the right of views the bugs.

  2. Edit Bug - rights of editing bugs
    • Edit Description - the right of editing description.
    • Edit Classification - the right of editing bug's classification.
    • Edit Priority - the right of editing bug's priority.
    • Edit Severity - the right of editing bug's severity.
    • Edit Reproductive - the right of editing bug's reproductive.
    • Edit Reported In Version - the right of editing the version in which the bug is reported.
    • Edit Reported Date - the right of editing date when the bug is reported.
    • Edit Fixed in Version - the right of editing version in which the bug is fixed.
    • Edit Fixed Date - the right of editing date when the bug is fixed.
    • Edit Verified Date - the right of editing date when the bug is verified.
    • Edit Report - the right of editing bug's report.
    • Edit Recreate Step - the right of editing bug's recreate step.
    • Edit Workaround - the right of editing bug's workaround.
    • Edit Resolution - the right of editing resolution of how the bug is fixed.
    • Edit Attachment - the right of editing bug's attached files.

  3. Task
    • Add Task - the right of adding a new task.
    • Edit Task - the right of a editing task.
    • Delete Task - the right of deleting a task.

  4. Management
    • Assign Project to Role - the right of assigning project to role.
    • Assign Classification to User - the right of assigning classification to user.
    • Edit Classification - the right of editing project's classification.

Quick ways to set the right

  1. Use Copy From

    Copy right from another user.
    Click Copy From button, and select the user you want to copy from.

  2. Use Template
    There are 6 templates available for different usage.
    • None - have no right.
    • All - have all right.
    • Read Only - can only read.
    • QA Person - rights for a tester, the template is suitable for tester.
    • Developer - right for a developer, the template is suitable for tester.
    • Manager - right for a manager, the template is suitable for tester.
